Bandai Namco and developer Supermassive Games have released a pair of new The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope developer diaries, offering some insights into the game's motion captured performances that strive to deliver onscreen authenticity, while making Little Hope's horror story more believable.

"Without complex sets or props the motion capture actors must make the best use of their imagination to bring their characters to life and deliver a compelling and authentic performance that is converted into what you see in the game," the accompanying press release reads.

You can find out more about the various challenges faced in creating Little Hope's motion capture in the developer diaries below. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will be bringing another chapter of branching cinematic horror, in which you determine the fate of its characters, on 30th October for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

  • I really enjoyed the first one. Had some control niggles but I enjoyed the overall experience. Ashmore was great in it so hopefully "the guy with the eyebrows" is as good in this one.
