It's a veritable Final Fantasy banquet today on Xbox One, with the simulataneous release of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn, as well as new content for multiplayer mode FF XV: Comrades featuring Kenny Crow.

Final Fantasy VII finally makes its debut on Xbox One, bringing the 1997 RPG classic featuring former SOLDIER turned mercenary Cloud Strife and the rest of the gang to Microsoft's console, while Episode Ardyn closes out the Final Fantasy XV saga with a prologue chapter set 35 years prior to the events of the main game.

Told from the perspective of the villainous Ardyn Lucis Caelum, Episode Ardyn reveals what caused the scorned saviour to seek revenge against the line of Lucis, and also adds new gameplay mechanics, action-packed battles with unique moves including 'Rising Phantom' and 'Dark Tornado' while playing as Ardyn.

You'll also be able to fly across the city of Insomnia and regain MP using 'Shadow Step', and even summon Ifrit to take down foes with devastating fire magic. You can also buy new hats for Ardyn and upon completing the episiode, you'll get the 'Ardyn's Ensemble' outfit and 'Mutant Rakshasa Blade' for Noctis.

Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer: Comrades also gets the new bonus quest 'Feathered Foe - Kenny Crow" in which you can take on the "extremely tough" Kenny Crow in an epic boss battle. A new credits sequence taken over by Kenny Crow and the male 'Warrior's Armour' and female 'Street Attire' will be your reward for vanquishing the new boss.

Final Fantasy XV content is also live once more in Assassin's Creed Origins, enabling you to earn the Ultimate Blade, Ziedrich shield, and Chocobo 'Kweh' mount, while in Final Fantasy XV, you can acquire the Assassin's Creed tie-in 'Master Assassin's Robes'.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn is out now priced $9.99/£7.99, while Final Fantasy VII for Xbox One is out now and will set you back $15.99/£12.49/
