Introduction:
Zeno Clash V.2 Upgraded and Improved:
Zeno Clash II is the much anticipated, and much needed sequel to the, 'under the radar' Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition. We once again follow the story of Ghat, but this time instead of attempting to find his way in the world, he will be trying to come to terms with the power moves of others. This second tale of Zeno Clash certainly is a much further step from anything you know in Ultimate Edition. There now is a skill tree system, there is a rage-type meter, there are collectibles, side quests, and the list goes on and on.
There are a couple rather large, or interesting changes to note this time around. One of the most detrimental to the easy success of Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition was unlimited ammo. This time around weapons have a certain ammo cap and then they are useless. Following suit, you can only have a maximum of 5 skull bombs compared to the 8 of UE.
Interestingly enough, almost all of the achievements this time around are linked to story mode, which has the possibility to make things easier for some. On that note though, you'll definitely want to follow along with the RoadMap and Guide as there is quite a bit you can run right by without knowing, and many little caveats you would rather not miss.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Important Tips to Know:
- Fast travel totems. They are found scattered throughout the map and have a blue glow emanating from them. They are different from the skill totems by the tall column of blue coming from them that shines into the sky.
- You can revisit areas at any time, so do not feel pressured to follow exactly step-by-step along the RoadMap as its simply a guide to follow to ensure you grab everything.
- At the end of the game, after the credits you can simply hit continue game to pick up from the point right before the final battle.
- Using the chain is the most devastating and incredibly useful weapon in the game. Remember you operate it with .
The Journey:
It may seem like a lot of steps, but the layout I have provided you below is a fairly concise way to cut through a lot of the redundancy of the game. Now it may seem like a lot of backtracking for places you may return to later, but taking each location step-by-step and crossing off what you've done there will help alleviate trouble later on. I misplaced one skill totem along the way and had to retrace my steps 65% of the way through to find where I had missed it. Take your time, cross them out as you grab it, and DO NOT worry about moths after you hit your 40th.
We begin our journey in a bar. The only thing to note about this bar is that after the initial fight you should go upstairs and speak with the creature at the table. This creature will inform you that sometime when you come back if you talk to him he can arrange champions for you to fight for sport. We will need to go back to this eventually for one of the cubes
Halstedom:
Upon exiting the bar we'll need to do a few things:
- Talk to the random creature completing his sidequest. You must beat up the guy who harmed him, and unlock the chain weapon--truly 'game-changer.'

Our trip back here will be very quick. Once you return head to the eastern part of town. Next to the wall will be some black wires that you cannot get past without using the golem's bracelet. Locate a Brother for Some Sisterly Co-op
You now simply need to find one person to do about 5-10 minutes of work with you to get the "Opportunist" achievement. You cannot do this split screen so you will need an actual person. Get that done and you should be maxed out with 400/400.
Conclusion:
All in all I firmly believe anyone who played Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition will be more than impressed with this sequel. I know I am still sitting back smiling at all of the amazing challenges, and upgrades this game has brought to the table. Sure.. it brought the dreaded collectibles in full force, but I had a little fun picking up different colored moths, and even more fun working for those cubes. This definitely isn't the quick 200 that its predecessor was, but for a whopping 400, we can deal with a little more story and a lot of collecting.
If you have followed the G&RM I hope you were able to make it to this point and check another game off your list and add it to your completion board. Until next time we meet brothers-sisters.
[x360a would like to thank THE DEADLY DOG for this Roadmap]
