Introduction:
Rugby Challenge 2 - The Lions Tour Edition is the follow on Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge. Most of the achievements are exactly the same and can be obtained in exactly the same way. There are a few new achievements and they have also taken out the long “Play 25 & 50 Online Games” achievement.
As with the previous title, this is very straight forward and fairly simple 1000, that even with no real knowledge of rugby or rugby games you can complete.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
Career and Competitions:
10 Achievements worth 495.
The Career and all Competition wins can be simulated and will take around a couple of hours to do, with all competitions just choose the 8 highest rated teams in that competition to be your teams. Then select one of the last fixtures on the list and simulate to that game, then simulate the rest of the games and hope that one of your 8 teams wins the cup.
Career mode will take a bit longer and is best to choose club only and simulate each game through to 2026/27.
Tutorial:
1 Achievement worth 30.
You will need to complete all 28 mini tutorial games and this will give you some insight into how the game in controlled.
Lions Tour:
1 Achievements worth 60.
Although you have to play all 10 games these can be set to very easy and you can even assign another controller to the other team to guarantee the victory.
10 Single Matches:
20 Achievements worth 375.
Nine games on very easy and one game on Pro difficulty, also all of these achievements can be unlocked with 2 controllers.
You will probably get most the achievements within the first couple of games, but you need to play and win 10 matches with different teams.
I played the first game as Lomu All Stars Vs England, then 9 random teams and won those games.
In these 10 games you should be able to get all of the in game achievements.
Grinding and Finishing Single Player:
2 Achievements worth 20.
There are a couple of easy achievements: watch the credits, and create a player.
Now you can play any more games in single game mode, if you need to to get any achievements that you still need.
Multiplayer:
1 Achievement worth 20.
There is only one online achievement and it is for simply completing a match you do not even have to win just do not quit out.
Conclusion:
A very straight forward and easy 1000 which was fun and quick to complete.
