Introduction:
Welcome to the roadmap for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Version. Many of you will already have played Minecraft, but for those new to the game, some achievements may seem a bit daunting.
The quickest way to get all of the achievements done is to find somebody who has a world set up, join their game with their help you can have everything done in hardly any time at all. For those who don't have this option, hopefully this map will come in helpful.
Step 1:
Startup a new game on tutorial mode. This is a world set up with plenty of chests around with tools and items you will need to get most of the achievements done.
Follow the tutorial without skipping any parts, and you will unlock the following achievements:
- "Getting Wood"
- "Taking Inventory"
- "Benchmarking"
- "Time To Mine"
- "Time To Farm"
- "MOAR Tools"
- "HOT Topic"
After the fishing rod tutorial is done, and you have caught a fish, cook it in your oven for "Delicious Fish."
Next use your workbench to make a sword for "Time to Strike" so when night falls you can easily kill a monster for "Monster Hunter." You can also make a better pickaxe for "Getting An Upgrade." There will be a most likely be a cow around, so kill that and take its leather for "Cow Tipper," if there is not or it doesn't drop leather we will be going to a farm soon so you can get that there.
Now look around the immediate area and you will find many items including Redstone, which you will need soon. You should see at least one chicken running around, follow it and it will eventually drop an egg, which you will need.
Step 2:
When daylight comes, start to head for the castle. On the way you will find another chest, make sure you take the bow from that and anything else you may want. Once in the castle, head to the left and find a box that contains diamond tools, amongst other things, and take them. To the right there is a room that has sugar in one of the chest, so take that.
Next, go upstairs in this castle, and directly in front of you there is a gap in the wall. Use your pickaxe to go through to a room with a portal. Use your diamond pickaxe to break up the black rocks. These are obsidian which you will need to make your own portal. You need at least 10 blocks of this.
Step 3:
Exit the castle the way you came and go left. You will come out at a farm. On the right you will see a chest. In that chest amongst other things are bones. Once you have these, save your game. Now go to the far left pen in this area and you will see two wolves. Tame these with . Now exit without saving and reload your game and do it again. Repeat, and after taming your fifth wolf you will get "Leader Of The Pack."
On the other side you will see crops being grown. Amongst these you will find wheat. You can return to your crafting table and make bread with three wheat for "Bake Bread." You can also make a dispenser now for "Dispense With This."
Step 4:
Now we need to go mining. Just dig, and eventually you will find what you need. Every map is going to differ slightly, but you are looking for iron ore and flint (as much as possible). Once you have this, return to your stove and heat the iron ore to make an iron ingot. This will get you "Aquire Hardware." Once you have three iron ingots you create a bucket. You will need three buckets. Once you have these, find yourself some cows and milk them with . You should now have all the ingredients for a cake, so combine your egg, milk, sugar and wheat for "The Lie!"
Step 5:
Use the achievement guide to help you reassemble your obsidian into the portal shape. Next combine your flint with an ingot and ignite the portal. The centre should turn purple and "Into The Nether" will unlock.
Step 6:
Building a 500 metre rail will take a long time to mine for all the parts needed for this, but if you don't have a friend to let you ride theirs, you need to mine a lot, which will take you some time. See the achievement guide for more info. The other tricky achievement is "When Pigs Fly." Again if you have a friend who has a trap set up this is easy, if not you will need to explore caves until you find a chest next to a monster spawner, then find a pig up high and hope for the best.
Title Update #2 DLC
Introduction:
Welcome to Minecraft’s second title update, where you are introduced to battle mode mini-games. Here, you can basically play PvP Minecraft online or locally, with friends or without! You will begin a game in a waiting lobby until there are enough people for the round to start. Once the round begins, you will have 15 seconds of invulnerability while you gather items from chests and run for cover. After that, anything goes.
Abbreviated Walkthrough:
First thing you’ll want to grab a friend as it’ll make this quicker than dealing with randoms, or grab a second controller and use a guest account. So start up a public match with your friend, once you’re in the pre-game lobby ready up with the "X" button to start the match. When the round starts just go kill the other player and you get your win and unlock "The Student…" Repeat that process two more times and you’ll get "...has become the master." When the next match starts grab all the food and healing potions out of the starting chests. Have the other player hit you with their bare hands to knock your health down to about the last heart. Eat some food and repeat that over until "'Tis but a scratch" unlocks. If you have time in the match then go ahead and run around and jump to lower your health bar until it’s empty. You’ll now be starving. Just go kill the other player in the match to unlock "Hunger Pain."
Start up a new game (doesn’t need to be public) with the matches set to “long” round length to give you extra time. In the pre-game lobby press the back button and pick the ‘Cove’ map since that’s the easiest to find all 13 chests. Once the match starts up get the initial 5 starter chests out of the way. Then make your way around the map in either direction, slowly finding all the chests. Once you’ve found all 13 you will unlock "Mine!"
This last achievement you’ll need 3 people in a match, either randoms or grab two friends/guest accounts. Once you’re in a match look through some chests to find a bow and some arrows. You’ll need around 3-4 arrows per kill. Once you have those, line up your shots and kill each player to unlock "Cupid."
Conclusion for Title Update #2 DLC:
Achievement-wise this is a very lacking and uninteresting update. But easy! Game-wise, I think the PvP aspect is a refreshing little change from the core game, and can be fun when you need to give your mind a rest from your survival or creative mode realms.
Conclusion:
This roadmap explains the quickest way to get everything done. I would thoroughly suggest playing the game naturally as it really deserves all the hype it gets. Most of the achievements are straight forward, and the only tricky one is finding the damn saddle so you can pig ride. Go create something wonderful!
