Introduction
Welcome to LEGO Indiana Jones. This game has a total of 50 achievements and requires two playthroughs to get 1000. The reason that two playthroughs is required is because after beating a level on story mode, you must then go through it again in Free Play mode in order to gather the remaining collectibles that were unavailable on the initial playthrough the level.

From the achievement guide:
For the achievement Fortune & glory kid, there has been a report that this Lego game has the same 100% glitch as did Lego Star Wars: TCS. Basically, the game shows you at 100%, but no achievement. The solution that worked in the first game, works on this incarnation as well. Exit from the game completely, and go back to the dashboard. Then boot the game back up, go into any level at random, and then save and exit the level, and the achievement will unlock.

For the You chose... wisely achievement some people have had the problem of this achievement not unlocking after collecting all of the characters. The solution for this problem that worked for me is to simply replay the "Young Indy" bonus level and it should unlock once the level is completed.

Playthrough:
When you begin a new game you will immediately be thrust into the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" story mode. As soon as you have control, press and choose to go back to Bartlett College. Once you're at the college go to the classroom and enter all of the cheat codes found HERE on the chalkboard. NOTE: Many people get confused and think that cheats will automatically activate once entered, not true. To activate the cheats while playing a level, press and then choose Extras. From here you can select which cheats you wish to use. Once all the cheats are entered run back to the story board and begin your playthrough (after you finish the first level, use all the money you get to buy all of the characters you unlocked with the cheat codes). For each playthrough a level you have a few things to keep in mind. First grab all of the artifacts you can on story mode. This artifacts are listed by level and in order HERE. You also want to turn on all of your treasure multipliers to get the True Adventurer status. NOTE: Once you have true adventurer pop up on the screen it won't go away if you fall below the required stud amount.

When you finish a level on story mode, before you re-enter the level in Free Play, run over to Indy's office and use the Thuggee Statue, Scholar ability, blow up the shields, dig up the box and scream to break the glass covering the other box. Getting in the habit of doing this will make mopping up the miscellaneous achievements after you beat the game much easier. Now reenter the level you just completed and choose Free Play. Make sure to grab all of the remaining artifacts as well as the 5 Star Wars characters listed HERE. NOTE: Don't worry about mailing the parcel, if you entered all of the cheat codes then the game counts all 18 as mailed already. Repeat the above process until you have completed every level of all three movies, collected every artifact, collected all 5 Star Wars characters and gotten True Adventurer in every level.

NOTE: There is a common misconception that the invincibility cheat blocks achievements. This isn't true. You just can't use it when going for the It's not the years honey... achievement (which is easiest to get on the Escape the Mines level). Other than that you can cheat as much as you want whenever you want without any consequences.

Bonus Levels:
Now that you have completed the story, it's time for the three bonus levels. For a strategy on getting 1,000,000 studs in the ancient city click here. For the warehouse level, enter the level as a bazooka character, and run as far to the right as you can. You will eventually see a target, shoot it with your character and it will drop an unlimited amount of studs. Repeat until 1,000,000 is reached. After you have completed all of the bonus levels, you should have gotten the achievement for 100% in the game. If this hasn't happened check and make sure you have gotten everything you have. If you have, then reference the glitch fix mentioned above.

Mop Up:
At this point you should just have the "Do this action X amount of times" achievements remaining. At this point you can either follow the achievement guide's advice, the advice mentioned HERE, or make up your own. Also, there is a very easy way to grind the Disarm achievement mentioned HERE. Last, if you followed my advice and went to Indy's office in between playing levels then this process will be much quicker.

Conclusion:
That's it! If at this point you're still missing an achievement reference the achievement guide or search the forum for an answer to any question you may have.

There are 50 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Collect all artefacts.

    (20)

Each level has 10 artifacts to collect, so 180 artifacts total. See this thread for information on their locations.

  • Post all parcels.

In each level there is a red parcel to collect, 18 in all. After you find the parcel, you must also find the mailbox to mail it back to the college. When you are holding the parcel in front of the mailbox, press to mail it off. Locate and mail back all parcels for this achievement. See this thread for location details.

Or, if you're interested in doing it a slightly cheaper way, you can use cheat codes. They automatically unlock the parcel and the extra, and will get you both this achievement, and "You Cheat very big!". Using the cheats to play will NOT void any achievements. The only exception to this is "It's not the years honey...". See that achievement for more information.

To enter the cheat codes, go down the hall with the classrooms. The chalkboard is in the second room on the left (from the camera's perspective).

    (12)

Collect all artifacts: See "This... this is history..."

Find and purchase all parcels: See " Your mail is on your desk"

Get "True Adventurer" rank on all levels: In each level, at the top of the screen you'll see a Lego bar that fills up as you collect more studs. This bar needs to get filled up in each level, and is much easier to do with the multipliers turned on.

Unlock All Characters: See " You chose... wisely"

Complete all levels, including all story missions, plus the three hidden levels:
To unlock the hidden levels, go to Indy's office, which is in the college off the main hallway. Go there once you have unlocked each type of character. Use each character's ability in there and collect the chests to the middle of the room. Build a new chest and retrieve the key. Then take the key up to the artifact room, and use it in the crank created by following the steps in "Got lost in his own museum." Surrounding the crank will be 3 grated holes, each the opening for the hidden levels. In order to unlock the levels:
Young Indy: Collect all artifacts in "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
Ancient City: Collect all artifacts in "Temple of Doom" (Guide)
Warehouse: Collect all artifacts in "The Last Crusade"
Warehouse Tips: Enter the level as a bazooka character, and run as far to the right as you can. You will eventually see a target, shoot it with your character and it will drop an unlimited amount of studs. Repeat until 1,000,000 is reached.

    ***Glitch Alert***
    1. There has been a report that this Lego game has the same 100% glitch as did Lego Star Wars: TCS, basically, the game shows you at 100%, but no achievement. The solution that worked in the first game, works on this incarnation as well. Exit from the game completely, and go back to the dashboard. Then boot the game back up, go into any level at random, and then save and exit the level, and the achievement will unlock.

    2. For some people, the requirements for Young Indy and the Ancient City are reversed, and collecting all the artifacts in Raiders will unlock the Ancient City instead. So be advised that this may happen to you, so don't be alarmed.

  • Unlock all of the available characters.

    (11)

As you complete story missions, certain characters will be unlocked automatically. Also, as you progress through the story, other characters become available for purchase in the library. To access the library, when in Barnett College, go down into the hallway with all the rooms off of it. The first room on the left side is the library.

See this thread for all characters, locations, and requirements:

  • Use a Thuggee Statue 20 times.

These are going to be the semi-large four-armed statues. Activating them requires either a Thuggee character, or a regular character wearing a Thuggee hat. Thuggees can be identified by their large Hindu turban. These characters only occur in the Temple of Doom levels, so all other statues need to be activated by a purchased Thuggee character in Free Play. Once you have a Thuggee character, go up to the statue and press to activate it.

  • Give 20 bananas to monkeys.

In "City of Danger" right in front of you there is a monkey on a ledge who will give you a wrench in exchange for a banana. In front of him there is a crate of bananas, walk up to it and pick one up with. Then when your blue target is on the monkey, press again to toss it to him. He will then throw the wrench. Don't pick it up, and wait a few seconds, and he will pull out another one. Exchange wrench for banana again. If you toss him a banana before he pulls out the wrench, he won't be interested in trading, and it will just land on the ledge and you won't get credit for it. Repeat process until unlocking.

  • Destroy 50 objects with a bazooka or other explosive device.

Get yourself a character with a bazooka, whether by picking one off the ground, or by going in Free Play with a character who comes ready with one. Destroy 50 objects for this achievement.

  • Use a scholar character's academic ability 50 times.

While walking around, you may find blue books laying on the ground. If you find one, pick it up with . Then when you see a 3x3 square of hieroglyphics, walk up to it and press . The game will show you a short sequence on the glyphs. Then move your cursor around and select the glyphs with in the order you were shown. If done correctly, the wall will open. Repeat 49 more times for unlocked goodness. There are also characters who come already set with a book. To check to see if a character comes ready with a book, press to see what they're carrying.

If you're looking to get this in a hurry, play "Temple of the Grail" in Free Play mode, as there are 2 puzzles right in the beginning room of the level.

  • Uncover 50 pieces of buried treasures using the excavation ability.

Only certain characters have the ability to use a shovel. Your first partner in the first level, Satipo, has this ability. When you see a half-buried object, switch to a digging character with , and press to uncover the hidden objects. Also, if you see a shovel on the ground, any character can pick it up with and dig out hidden objects.

To check to see if a character comes ready with a shovel, press to see what they're carrying.

  • Destroy 50 objects or characters using the scream and super scream ability.

In the level "Shanghai Showdown" you first get control over Willie. When she is near breakable glass or enemies, hold down to destroy them. Try to destroy as much glass with Willie as you can during your playthroughs.

If you find that you still need to grind this out after finishing your standard and free play playthroughs the fastest way is by using the Ancient City bonus level. When you first spawn in you're next to the train stop with 3 enemies. There are also 3 glass panels there. After you scream and break those, head to the upper left corner of the map. There's a high doorway that Willie can jump up to and 4 more glass panels inside. Quit the level and restart until you pop the achievement.

Note: The achievement description is misleading. "Kills" with the super scream do not appear to actually count. You must use the scream to break glass.

  • Use a mechanic character's repair ability 50 times.

Only certain characters come standard with a wrench. Your second partner in the first level, Jock, has this ability. When you see a smoking object, switch to a wrench carrying character with in story mode or in freeplay, and press to fix the object. Also, if you see a wrench on the ground, any character can pick it up with and fix smoking objects. To check to see if a character comes ready with a wrench, press to see what they're carrying.

If you're looking to get this achievement in a hurry, go to Movie 1 Stage 5and fix the engine that powers the lift in the center of the first section. This engine is a bit different than the other ones throughout the game in that it works for about 5 seconds to power the lift and then breaks again, allowing you to fix it over and over.

  • Access restricted enemy locations 50 times.

After defeating some enemy soldiers, they will drop their hat. You can walk over to it and press to pick it up and put it on. Now go to a restricted location, which can be identified by the large grey icon in front of them with an enemy soldier depicted on it. Press at the icon to knock on the window. An enemy will inspect you, and give you access to the location. You can also do this in free play using an unlocked enemy soldier.

If you're looking to get this one in a hurry, go into either movie 1 stage 6, or the Ancient bonus level. Both have one door immediately accessible. Open it, then save, and exit and restart the level. These are the fastest way to grind out any you have left after your two required playthroughs.

  • Destroy 200 bad guys.

Break 200 enemy Legos. This achievement will come with the natural progression of the game.

  • Complete any level with out dying, without invincibility.

To complete this achievement, you must beat an entire level, in either Story or Free Play mode, without dying. You can lose as many hearts as you wish, you just can't die. The easiest level to do this on is probably "Escape the Mines," as there are just a couple of enemies in the beginning, and it is clear from there.

Another possibility is the "Well of Souls" level, the only tricky part is the boss battle against the snake, but if you know what you're doing, you'll be safe. Stay on the platform in front of the snake, and toss torches at it until it is dead. A third possibility would be "The Hunt for Sir Richard." These three levels are probably the easiest, but it is all personal preference as to which level you are best at.

Using the Regenerate Hearts cheat will make this a lot easier. (See "Your mail is on your desk." for cheat codes.) You can also do this in co-op and have the second controller do all the fighting while your primary person stays back where it's safe.

  • Use your whip to kiss Marion, Willie and Elsa.

You can use your whip by pressing when playing as Indiana Jones. Face the woman, and use your whip to pull them to you and kiss them. This can be done in any mode, and is easiest done with 2 controllers, that way you can control the girls so that they don't wander.

Marion first appears in the level "Into the Mountains."
Willie first appears in the level "Shanghai Showdown."
Elsa first appears in the level "The Hunt for Sir Richard."

  • Oh it breaks the heart.

In Marion's bar, during the boss fights, there will be an unlimited amount of enemies spawning. Go up to the bar by a bottle and press to pick it up. Then go to an enemy and press to break it over their head and kill them. Do this to 15 enemies and the achievement will unlock. This achievement should also unlock by using any breakable object to defeat the enemies, but Marion's bottles is the first encounter with an unlimited supply in the game.

Secret achievements

  • Complete the "Young Indy" level in Story Mode.

After collecting all artifacts in the Raiders of the Lost Ark levels, you will unlock the option to play the "Young Indy" level. Complete the level to unlock the achievement.

  • Destroy Lao Che with Indy.

After completing the level "Shanghai Showdown" Lao Che is available for purchase in the library for 19,000 studs. Purchase him, and then go to any Free Play level, and make sure you select him as the character you want. Once in the level, set yourself up so that Lao Che and any version of Indiana Jones are your two characters. Then, as Indy, punch Lao until he breaks, then switch characters with and do the same back to Indy, and both this and "Goodbye Dr. Jones" will unlock.

  • Destroy Indy with Lao Che.

See "Nice try, Lao Che!" for details

  • Destroy 50 creepy-crawlies.

When you destroy objects in your search for Lego studs, sometimes a bright red spider or other colored insect will pop out. Use whip them or to punch them, and repeat 49 times.

  • Smash 250 LEGO objects.

Fans of the Lego series know that in every level, you should destroy everything you can see to collects studs and hearts and so on. So, every object that you see, press to punch it or to use your character's weapon to destroy it. Once 250 objects have been destroyed, the achievement will unlock.

  • Create and name a custom build character.

When in Barnett College, go down into the hallway with all the rooms off of it. The first room on the right side is the courtyard. Walk through it to get to the art room. In the art room you will see 2 customizable characters. When you walk up to them, the customization process will start automatically.

Press the left and right to scroll through the customization types, and press up and down to scroll through the options. One of the options will be a chalkboard with "ABC" written on it. Use this option to change the name of the character, press to enter the text input mode. Change one option of the character, and go and change the name. Once you change the name, press and the change will automatically save and the achievement will unlock.

You can also use this customization options to create a wrench/shovel/etc. character to use that ability in free play without having to purchase that character from the library or unlock them through story completion.

  • Destroy Indy with Jones Snr.

In the level "Castle Rescue," as soon as the cut-scene is finished where you set the castle on fire, switch to Jones Sr. by pressing and punch Jones Jr with until he breaks, and the achievement will unlock

  • Destroy 100 snakes

In one of the last rooms of "Well of Souls", there are traps where snakes slide down. You can jump up to close the hatches so the snakes can't come in anymore, but instead, just stand there. Every couple of seconds a snake will fall and just swing at them with or until 100 snakes have been destroyed. You need to use a character other than Indy because of his phobia, he will freeze around the snakes.

  • Blow up 5 enemies with 1 explosion.

This is an achievement that causes many headaches, as you can blow up more than 5 without the achievement unlocking. Here are several scenarios that may work well for you:

**Start up free play on "Pankot Secrets," near the beginning you will be rushed by a herd of spiders, many more than 5 should explode if your explosion is well aimed.

**Start up free play on "Escape the Mines." As soon as you start the level, you will be attacked by 8 enemies. Just ahead of you and to the right is a dynamite dispenser. Grab one, and stand still and let the enemies crowd around you waiting for their doom.

**Start up free play on "Motorcycle Escape" with a bazooka carrier. Ride on to the farm area. Every minute or so, 4 enemies will run in from by the house towards you. Also, if you pull the levers on each side of the greenhouse door, 3 more enemies will come out, giving you a grand total of 7.

**At the end of "The Lost Temple" after the boulder chase, you will be swarmed by the Hovitos. Run from side to side in the open area to amass a large following of tribesmen.

  • Disarm 100 enemies with the whip.

When you are fighting an enemy who has a weapon (gun, sword, etc.), go up to them and press to use your whip to steal their weapon. Repeat 99 more times for unlocking goodness.

  • Perform 150 whip grabs in the game.

While playing as Indiana Jones, when a distant icon has a blue triangle above it, press to use your whip to grab it. If you're in a hurry to get this achievement, in Marion's bar, the bottles on the bar will respawn an unlimited amount of times, and until you unlock the side door, you have all the time in the world alone. Keep grabbing and throwing the bottles until the achievement unlocks.

  • Perform 250 whip swings in the game.

In the game, you will come across chasms that have a branch or other object hanging above them that looks like a "J." You will also usually notice a small platform on either side of the chasm. Stand on either side and press to use your whip to swing across. If you're in a hurry to get the achievement, you can just swing back and forth across a single chasm 250 times.

  • Unlock secret area in the museum.

In the main room of Barnett College, go up the stairs and to the right to enter the artifact room. Near the middle of the room you will see an object laying on the ground with a blue triangle above it. Go to the object and press to pick it up. A triangle will now appear on the stone object next to you. Walk to that object and press again to put the object in, and the achievement will unlock.

  • Collect 1,000,000 studs in the Ancient City Level.

Once all of the artifacts from Temple of Doom have been collected, you will have access to the bonus level, "The Ancient City." Go into the level and collect 1 million studs. Lego game fans will be familiar with it, as it is very similar to the "Lego City" levels in Lego Star Wars.

  • Build 250 LEGO objects.

As you progress through the game, you will see piles of Legos that appear to be hopping around. Walk up to this pile and press and hold to build an object. Repeat 249 more times for the achievement.

If you don't get this achievement by the end of your 2 playthroughs, you can boost it quickly on Movie 3 Stage 4 (trouble in the sky). When you get to the beach area, about halfway through you will need to build a wooden platform that you then use to get over the next wall. It will collapse under your weight almost immediately and can be rebuilt an infinite number of times. Use a female character and she can just jump right on top of it instead of having to get on top of the building and swing over.

  • Unlock all extras.

See "Your mail is on your desk." for cheat codes. If you've skipped the cheat codes and are finding all of the parcels manually, you will need to purchase them after finding them in order to unlock this achievement.

When in Barnett College, go down into the hallway with all the rooms off of it. The middle room on the right side is the mail room. The parcels will be there.  Purchase all of them to unlock the achievement. There are 24 total that must be purchased.
