Section 2. Introduction

Section 2.1 Game Introduction
F.E.A.R. 3 is the sequel to F.E.A.R. 2 from 2009. The story picks up 6 months after the ending in F.E.A.R. 1 with Alma ready to give birth and her two sons (Pointman and Paxton Fettel) racing to reach her. Each brother has their own agenda for reaching Alma and by playing as each brother you will learn what they plan to do. You can also play through the story with a partner in a co-operative mode, and which ending you get will depend on which son shows superior skills. To earn the 1000 you will have to play as both sons to earn achievements and complete challenges unique to each character. The achievements are much more lenient from the previous F.E.A.R. games. Many of the achievements can be obtained online, though only one actually requires online play. Most of these achievements can be earned by yourself with a second controller, but having a partner or two will help make the more difficult achievements easier.

The game has an Online Pass system but you can obtain the 1000 without it. All the Online Pass locks away are two game modes (F**KING RUN and Soul Survivor) and a handful of maps. If you enjoy the co-operative online modes but bought the game used, you can obtain an Online Pass from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points.

Section 2.2 Controls
This game does not come with a manual, nor does the pamphlet reference an online site.

F.E.A.R. 3 allows you to play as one of the two brothers, Pointman or Paxton Fettel. While Pointman plays much like he did in the original F.E.A.R, Fettel has unique abilities that require some explaining. Fettel's main abilities are a Psychic Blast, Suspension and Possession. Instead of bullets he has a power meter (slow motion meter for Pointman) which allows him use of his stronger abilities (possession and suicide). When Fettel has possession of an enemy soldier, he controls just like Pointman (without slow motion). While you're possessing the body your power meter will continuously drain unless you pick up red orbs from the killed enemies. If the body takes too much damage and dies, Fettel will return to his ghost form but with a completely empty power meter.

Section 3. Walkthrough

Section 3.1 - First Playthrough (Any Difficulty)
Begin a new story mode and choose whatever difficulty you wish to play on. Use the achievement guide to earn; Doll Collector, A Precursor, Footy Foul, State-of-the-Art, Bang, Bang!, Yo, Adrian!, and work on many of the Challenges that are required for Score Monger, Completionist and the Interval/Score achievements. If you have a partner with you, you can also work towards I'm not a Doctor, I'm a Medic, Little Brother's Helper and the Challenges that require a partner. At the end of every level you will earn the ability to play as Paxton Fettel. Complete all 8 Intervals as Pointman to unlock Fettel and the Mission.... accomplished? achievement. If any of the Interval achievements did not unlock you must go back and complete the Interval again. This goes for Mission... accomplished? as well.

Section 3.2 - Second Playthrough (INSANE Difficulty)
Begin your next playthrough but put the difficulty on INSANE. If possible, it's recommended playing through as Pointman, but you can get through easily enough as Fettel. If you choose to play as Fettel you can work towards; Insider Trading, Fettel's challenges for Completionist, Head Crab Removal, the Interval/Score achievements and any other achievement you may have missed from your first playthrough. If you can to get a partner to play as Pointman to work on Big Brother's Helper. At the end of this playthrough you will earn Man Mode. There have been reports of Man Mode not working properly, start the game again and after a few intervals it should unlock.

Section 3.3 - Challenges, Checkpoints and Cleanup
Here you can work towards any achievement in the storyline you may have missed. These include the 8 achievements for completing each interval with a certain score, finishing any uncompleted challenges and earn the achievements that require you to reach a specific amount of kills/points/etc and the Alma Dolls. If you haven't earned them yet; You've got the Touch!, That's a lot of Zeros, Earl of Pain, God Among Men, Art Collector, No Can defense! and Head Crab Removal can be earned in Story Mode but can also be earned in the other multiplayer modes.

Section 3.4 - Contractions
Contractions only has a handful of specific achievements, but this is where you will need a group of people to work together. The weaker achievements; We'll Try Again Tomorrow!, I F.E.A.R. Nothing! and Dead Blind can be obtained by yourself in Solo play with a little practice. Hanging 20 and Handle with Care can be done by yourself but is a lot easier with a team. Use the Boosting/Partner thread to get a team together and knock these out. A strategy is listed in the achievement guide.

Section 3.5 - Soul King
All of these can be obtained by yourself if you have an extra controller, if you don't have an extra controller be sure to find a partner to help you out. Using the two controller method will have this take a little over one hour. You will need at least 2 players to earn enough points for Soul Gatherer and Soul Hoarder. If you do not have 2 players in the game the enemies will not drop enough souls to earn the scores required for the two achievements. Indecisive, Monarch and Unstoppable can be earned through solo play.

There are 50 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Complete every challenge at least once

    (19)

This achievement will require you to play as Pointman and Paxton Fettel, it will also require you to play with a partner (local or online). Once you complete a challenge you will have to reach an auto-save in the level before you quit out, otherwise the game will not record you as completing that challenge. You can check how many challenges you've completed by selecting; Scoring > Rank/Challenge and then highlighting the Challenge tab from the main menu.

See the Challenge Guide for a complete list and strategies.

  • Complete 500 total challenges between all categories

    (1)

This achievement will require you to spend some time the story mode to complete 500 challenges. As you play through each Interval, be sure to complete as many as possible as it will also help with each Intervals score achievement. The achievement should pop soon after completing your 500th challenge. You can check how many challenges you've completed by selecting; Scoring > Rank/Challenge and then highlighting the Challenge tab from the main menu.

    See Completionist for additional details.

  • Make 100 Psychic Links (Share or Steal)

    (12)

In every Interval there are numerous corpses lying around. Some of the corpses have a white aura around them. These are the ones you make a psychic link with. Approach the body and interact with it () to make a psychic link. If you're playing with a partner, it doesn't matter if you share or steal the psychic link. If you quit out early before reaching an auto-save location, the game will not record your psychic link.

  • Possess every type of possessable enemy

    (11)

This achievement requires you to play as Paxton Fettel (Story) or a Wraith (Soul King). You can possess most types of enemies in the game, you can't possess Powered Armor or Monstrosities. Possess all possible enemy types to earn this achievement.

    • ATC Soldiers - Generic enemy you mostly kill, comes with various weapons. You must possess one of each weapon type (SMG, Shotgun, G3A3). Found in various Intervals and Soul King.
    • ATC Sniper - Covered in an urban ghillie suit, wields the sniper rifle. These are only found in Interval 04 and 05 and Soul King.
    • Phase Caster - Regular sized ATC with a blue phase shield, summons ATC enemies. To be able to possess the Phase Caster, you must destroy his shield. Play the Campaign in Intervals 02, 05 and 06.
    • Phase Commando - Large sized ATC with blue phase shield, teleports through walls. To be able to possess the Phase Commando, you must destroy his shield. Play the Campaign in Intervals 05 and 07.
    • Psycho Melee - Civilian enemy, attacks with crude weapons or hands. You must possess one of each weapon type (Hands, Axe, Pipe, Wrench, Crowbar). Found in Intervals 03 and 05 and Soul King.
    • Psycho Ranged - Civilian enemy, attacks with throwing knives. Must play the Campaign, found in Interval 03.
    • Psycho Suicide - Civilian enemy, wears an explosive vest. Must play the Campaign, found in Intervals 03 and 05.
  • Complete 30 challenges in one Interval

    (6)

This achievement is not as hard as it sounds. For this you will need to learn to maximize your challenges. Instead of just taking headshots, do a headshot in slow-motion while in active cover. Use grenades when enemies are clumped together. When fighting a Phase Caster don't kill him too quickly, they summon enemies that can help you work on more kill challenges. Every body you make a psychic link with also counts as a challenge, so if you can link 10 bodies in one interval that's 10 challenges right there. Once you learn the best way to maximize your challenges, getting 30+ in any interval is easy.

    See "Completionist" for additional details.

  • Find the Alma Doll on every Mission

    (13)

There is an Alma Doll in every Interval in the game. Most Intervals have random spawn locations and so this achievement can require a bit more exploration. Use the "Doll Collector" Guide found HERE for the locations of each Alma Doll. Below is also a video with all possible doll locations. This achievement will pop once you've found the last doll you need.

    • If you are playing with a partner, you must get the Alma Doll before they do for the Challenge and this achievement.
    • If you intend to find the doll and then quit out you will need to reach an autosave location for the game to remember you finding the doll.

  • Finish the Campaign on INSANE difficulty

    (55)

To unlock INSANE difficulty you will need to complete all 8 intervals on a separate difficulty first. Once you have INSANE unlocked you must play through the entire game on INSANE difficulty. You must complete all intervals for this achievement to pop. You also must not replay, change difficulty, change characters or anything else between intervals. INSANE mode is also more manageable the higher level you are. Higher levels give you more health, more slow motion (possession) time and more grenade/ammunition. Even if you don't change anything sometimes this achievement will not pop. Start another game on INSANE and eventually you'll earn this achievement. There's no guaranteed method to earn this if it glitches, just keep playing.

There are a few difficult spots when playing on INSANE difficulty:

    Interval 04
In the middle of the level you will be attacked by a Powered Armor, the easiest way to kill it is by stunning it with Shock Grenades. If you do not have any on you, check the wooden shed for 3 Shock Grenades. Once the Powered Armor is stunned, lay into it with your G3A3 or bombard it with frag grenades.

    Interval 05
In the middle of the level you will be attacked by a Phase Caster and then immediately after a Powered Armor. The strategy in Interval 04 still applies, to your right (when entering the room) is a weapon crate with shock grenades. There is also a weapon crate on the left side of the room with the Arc Beam.

    Interval 07
Near the end of the level you will press a button to open a bay door while Monostrosities warp in to kill you. Once you press the button to open the door, run back to the previous room and close the door. The Monstrosities won't be able to kill you and the door will still open. Every now and then a monstrosities body will phase through the wall, you can knife and kill them without risking yourself.

This strategy works if you brought the riot shield from the previous room (where you fought 2 Phase Commandos). Crouch, open the door and stand in the door way. The monstrosities won't be able to hurt you and you'll be able to kill them as they try to kill you. Once they're all dead you can reach the next area hassle free.

  • Attain Rank 10

    (4)

Play any game mode and earn points to level up. The game will not record any of your points if you quit the game early. Earn 320,000 points to earn Rank 10 and this achievement.

See "You've got the Touch!" for more details.

  • Attain Rank 21

    (2)

Play any game mode and earn points to level up. The game will not record any of your points if you quit the game early. Earn 1,255,000 points to earn Rank 21 and this achievement. This is easily done in the campaign if you focus on completing challenges. Keep in mind that every level you gain will increase your characters abilities; more health, more slow motion/possession time and more ammunition/grenade capacity.

  • Finish the Campaign on any difficulty (all Intervals complete)

    (6)

This achievement is story related and will be rewarded at the end of the level cutscene. Be sure and get the "A Precursor" achievements near the beginning of the stage. This achievement should pop on the post level cutscene but is prone to glitching. If it glitches you should replay the Interval again.

See "Up The River" for more details.

  • Win all 5 rounds of a 5-round Soul King match

This achievement can be done in a solo or multiplayer (local or online) game of Soul King. Create a match and be sure it's set to 5 rounds when you create the game. Once the match starts, start killing all enemies and collect the souls they leave behind. Be the top ranked player at the end each round for all 5 rounds to earn this achievement.

  • Attain a total of 6,000 Souls in one round of Soul King

This achievement must be done in a multiplayer (local or online) game of Soul King. Create a match with a 5 minute time limit, kill everything and collect all the souls that get left behind. This achievement is infinitely easier when set to local multiplayer with a free second controller. The game requires at least two players to earn enough souls for the score and with an empty controller you have no competition. Set the game to 5 rounds as well and go for "Soul Hoarder".

  • Attain a total of 25,000 Souls across all rounds of a Soul King match

This achievement must be done in a multiplayer (local or online) game of Soul King. Create a match with 5 rounds and a 5 minute time limit. Kill everything you come across and collect all the souls that get left behind. This achievement is infinitely easier when set to local multiplayer with an empty second controller. The game requires at least two players to earn enough souls for the score and with an empty controller you have no competition. Earn 25,000 souls by the end of the fifth round and this achievement will pop.

  • Complete wave 20 in Contractions

    (21)

You must beat an entire Contractions game for this achievement (all 20 waves). You don't need a team of 3 or 4 to complete this achievement, but having more than one player will definitely help. Contractions has a set spawn rate regardless of how big your team is. A single player will have to fight against the same amount of enemies a 4 player team would. Now with that in mind, teamwork is essential to this. A solid method for this is playing on "Mechanized Invasion" and be sure each person understands their role.

See "Handle with Care" for additional information.

  • Return 30 crates in one game of Contractions

    (28)

This achievement requires a single person to return 30 crates by themselves. You don't need a team for this but the more players you have the easier it will be. You will need to work together and communicate for this achievement. A solid method for this is playing on "Mechanized Invasion" and be sure each person understands their role. This strategy is also viable for earning "Hanging 20".

From the beginning all 3-4 players need to rush to the Church building, it's on the other side of the map from where the team originally spawns; from there each player needs to understand their role:

    Player #1 - Crate Runner
This player will spend all of the preparation phases and most of the fog phases running crates to the base until they have the achievement. Once there they'll fall in with players 3 and 4.

If they go into last stand they will need to shuffle their way back to the safe zone where they can be picked up.

Player #2 - Powered Armor Pilot
This player is the team's eyes and teeth. On top of having the best firepower and defense, the PA's scanner highlights enemies and makes their location visible through the fog. On top of seeing enemies, special enemies (EPA's, ATC Phase Units, ATC Rocketeers) have a red outline. Be a team player and call out what is attacking.

This player should be very cautious of Alma. Her daze and blindness doesn't affect you that much but she can do much worse. She can remove you from the PA, teleport you to a random area of the map and have you outside the PA or simply destroy the PA.

If you lose the PA under any circumstances, your priority one is to find it. If it gets destroyed it will spawn at a random location in the preparation phase after the current fog phase.

    Player #3 & 4 Base Defenders
These players should not go far from the church and shouldn't even leave the building. They should barricade all possible gaps every preparation phase and be ready to revive anyone put into Last Stand. These are the players that can make or break a game if things go sour; stay safe, stay alive.

A very important thing to remember when playing Contractions is... there is no bleedout timer. You can shuffle around the map for the entire fog phase and not die.

Find a team using the BOOSTING/PARTNER thread.

  • Possess 20 different enemies in one round of Soul King

This achievement can be done in a solo or multiplayer (local or online) game of Soul King. Once the match starts, let your possession gauge refill (it looks like Pointman's slo-mo gauge) and run around possessing different enemies until this achievement pops. You possess enemies by targeting them and pressing , and you can possess a different body while still inhabiting a body.

  • Complete any campaign level on INSANE without reloading checkpoints or going into Last Stand

    (13)

To first unlock INSANE mode, you'll need to beat all 8 intervals on a lesser difficulty. Once INSANE is unlocked you'll need to complete and entire interval without dying, restarting or going into Last Stand. I recommend Interval 3 for this particular achievement. Most of the enemies are melee focused and it's only at the immediate end of the interval do you fight any ATC forces. If you're still having a hard time earning this achievement play multiplayer and act as a reviver while you let your partner do all the killing and dying.

  • Win 20 rounds of Soul King

    (1)

This achievement can be done in a solo or multiplayer (local or online) game of Soul King. Create a match with 5 rounds and a 3 minute time limit. Whether you're playing by yourself or with others, be the highest ranking player at the end of each round. Win 20 rounds and you'll earn this achievement at the results screen of your 20th win.

  • In the Poker Room of Prison, kill all 3 enemies with headshots before slo-mo ends

    (9)

In interval 01, shortly after killing a few ATC soldiers you'll approach a door. The game will give a pop up window explaining how to kick doors in. On the other side of the door (to the left) will be three ATC soldiers sitting at a poker table. Kick open the door and slow motion will activate automatically. Now kill all three of the soldiers with headshots before the slo-mo ends. This can also be done as Fettel, even though he can't use slow motion the game will activate it anyways.

  • Attain a total of 250,000 points through challenges

    (9)

To earn this achievement you'll need to complete enough challenges with a point score that adds up to 250,000. This will be earned as you work on "Supreme Challenger". To check how many points from challenges you have; at the Main Menu select Scoring > Rank/Challenges and then highlight the Challenge tab.

  • Spend an entire round of Contractions in deep fog without going into Last Stand

    (4)

This achievement can be earned in a solo or multiplayer (local or online) game of Contractions. The easiest scenario is "Mechanized Invasion." You will need to reach wave 7 until deep fog covers the ground; you'll know it's deep fog when you see red lights floating across the ground. In the preparation phase (before the fog), jump in the Powered Armor and spend the entire wave killing enemies. If you cannot get the Powered Armor or are in a different scenario, be sure to not stand in the red lights, as they will hurt you and can force you into Last Stand.

  • Kill 100 enemies with Jump Kick or Slide Kick

    (2)

This can be done in any game mode. Clicking while jumping will activate the jump kick and clicking while sprinting will activate the slide kick. Most enemies die within one melee hit but some will require two hits to kill. When playing as Fettel or a Wraith (no possession), you cannot use a slide or jump kick. You will need to reach Rank 2 (20,000 EXP) to use the Slide Kick.

  • Kill 10 enemies in a row with Sniper Rifle headshots

    (4)

This can be done in Interval 2, 4, 5, 7, Contractions or Soul King. Once you get a sniper rifle you need to kill 10 enemies in a row with nothing but headshots. This is easier if you're playing the Campaign with Pointman, use his slow motion to line up your shots. If you miss a shot it'll be fine, however if you shoot and or kill an enemy with a body shot, the counter will reset.

  • Kill 2 enemies with 1 Slide Kick during Slow Mo

    (3)

This achievement can be done in just about any Interval as Pointman. In interval 1 there will be groups of ATC soldiers on narrow catwalks. In interval 3 you fight a lot of psychos, they swarm you and give plenty of opportunity to slide kick a whole group of them. In interval 4 you'll come across a group of 6 huddled around a TV. When you can get enemies lined up; sprint at them, activate slow motion and use the slide kick and kill two enemies with the one attack. You will have to make it to Level 2 (20,000 EXP) to earn the Slide Kick attack.

  • Kill 1000 enemies by any method in any game mode

Play the game and kill 1000 enemies across all game modes. The game will not record your kill count if you quit out of a game early. There is no way to check how many kills you have, but keep playing and you'll earn this easily enough.

  • Kill 250 total enemies during Slow Mo

You must be playing as Pointman to earn this achievement. While playing as him kill enemies while using slow motion. This achievement will come naturally if you find yourself repeatedly earning the 'Hypersonic!!!' challenge as you play through the game.

  • Pin 100 total enemies with The Penetrator or Leaper knives

    (11)

This can be done as either Pointman or Fettel in story mode, or in other game modes. If playing as Pointman or in other game modes, simply kill enemies with the Penetrator. If playing as Fettel you'll need to play Interval 3. Midway through the interval you'll encounter psychos who stay out of reach and throw knives at you. Possess one of them and use the knives to kill other enemies. You only need to kill the enemies, you don't need to impale them to anything.

  • Perform 50 revives in any game mode

    (2)

This achievement will need to be completed in a co-operative mode (Story, Contractions, F**cking Run). When a partner goes into Last Stand, approach them and hold to pick them up off the ground. Do this 50 times across all possible game modes to earn this achievement. This can be easily manipulated in any Interval and can be done online or split screen. Have the reviver crouch behind cover while his partner stands next to him but out in the open. Revive him every time he goes into Last Stand until you have this achievement.

  • Survive 3 waves in Contractions in a row without anyone bringing back a crate

    (6)

This achievement can be earned in a solo or multiplayer (local or online) game of Contractions. The easiest scenario is 'Commute' as the first three waves are psychos (no suicide vests). Go through the first three waves without bringing back a single crate for this achievement. If you cannot do it on 'Commute' try it on 'Mechanized Invasion' with the Powered Armor.

  • Finish a wave of Contractions on INSANE without anyone going into Last Stand

    (13)

This achievement can be grabbed in a solo or multiplayer (local or online) game of Contractions. The easiest scenario is 'Mechanized Invasion' while playing solo. When the game starts head to the other base and jump in the Powered Armor. Use the Powered Armor to kill all enemies until the wave is over to earn this achievement .

  • 20 kills with a crowbar

    (58)

This achievement can be done in the story mode as Fettel or in Soul King. When playing as Fettel or the Wraith, you'll need to possess a psycho who is wielding a crowbar and kill 20 enemies. If you lose the body find another one and keep killing until this achievement pops.

  • As Point Man, kill 100 enemies suspended by Fettel

    (6)

This achievement will need to be completed with a partner in story mode. You'll need to be playing as Pointman. Have your partner use Fettel's Suspend ability () and you need to kill the enemies while they're suspended. This can be done online or in split screen.

  • As Fettel, suspend 100 enemies that Point Man kills

    (1)

This is the only achievement that requires online play, as it is impossible to host a campaign as Fettel. Join a network co-op to play as Fettel. As you play through the campaign use Suspend () on enemies and let Pointman kill them while they're being suspended.

Secret achievements

  • Attain a total of 95,000 score on Interval 01

    (25)

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. In Interval 01 just practice getting headshots, using cover and using slow motion (or possession). You can earn four weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, Frag/Flash) but there are not enough enemies for 100 kills. Be sure to grab the Alma doll and as many Psychic Links as possible.

  • Attain a total of 110,000 score on Interval 05

    (1)

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. Interval 05 introduces the next step in evolution for the ATC forces, these guys will take more to put down but some have tanks on their back you can use to kill. You will also face off against a few waves of psychos here. You can get 7 or more weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, G3A3, Frag/Flash/Shock, Schuller, Penetrator, Riot, Laser). The big challenge in this level will be fighting against a Phase Caster and then a Powered Armor immediately afterwards. Like the Powered Armor in Interval 04 you should use Shock Grenades to stun him while you hit him with everything you have.

  • Attain a total of 70,000 score on Interval 06

    (3)

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. Interval 06 feels constrained and introduces another new enemy; Alma's Monstrosities. You can earn 6 or so weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, G3A3, Frag/Flash/Shock, Laser). There's not a lot to this level that hasn't been done before. You can continuously kill the summoned enemies from the Phase Caster and when you get the Enhanced Powered Armor be sure to work on its melee and 20 streak challenge. The only hard part would be when two helicopters attack you at once. Be sure to use the EPA's shield when fighting them so they don't force you to exit it.

  • Attain a total of 110,000 score on Interval 07

    (7)

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. This interval has the toughest enemy pinch near the end of the Interval. You'll press a button to open a bay door and a lot of Monstrosities will spawn in to kill you. You will have to wait for the door to open enough to get in and close it while killing off whatever follows you through. On easier difficulties it's possible to make a stand and kill them as they spawn. Yet on harder difficulties it's best to run back to the previous room, close the door and wait. From there you can decide the best course of action, whether to kill them all or run for the exit. If you decide to fight be sure to have the Riot Gear from the previous room, it'll make this part much easier. Other then that there's not a lot to this Interval. You can earn 7 or so weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, G3A3, Frag/Flash/Shock, Penetrator, Goliath, Laser, Riot).

  • Attain a total of 85,000 score on Interval 02

    (1)

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. Interval 02 isn't much different from most other intervals, use cover with slow-motion (or possession) and get headshots. You can earn 5 to 6 weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, Frag/Flash, Schuller, Goliath). Near the end you'll face off against a Powered Armor, use the Rocket Launchers in the buildings to kill it, or use Shock Grenades to stun it and then kill it with your guns. At the end of the Interval you'll fight a Phase Caster; you can continuously kill off his summoned soldiers for a higher kill bonus and a chance at more weapon challenges.

  • Attain a total of 95,000 score on Interval 03

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. Interval 03 is a little different from the first two intervals, since there are only a few places you can effectively use cover. Once you reach the meat locker you can earn the "Yo, Adrian!" achievement. Exit the meat locker and into another warehouse room, you can use active cover on a ground freezer to your left. Camp there and let enemies come to you to earn the Kill from Cover challenges. Other than that be sure to shoot (and kill) the psycho's with suicide vests. You can get 6 weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, Frag/Flash, 970's).

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. Interval 04 is a lot like Interval 02 but gives more people to kill and a few new weapons. The biggest challenge will be killing the Powered Armor with your basic weaponry. Use Shock Grenades to stun the Powered Armor and open up on him with frags and your G3. You can get 6 or more weapon challenges here (Strader, SMG, CAS, G3A3, Frag/Flash/Shock, Schuller). When you get your own Powered Armor be sure to kill 5 enemies with a melee or stomp and up to 20 enemies with exiting the Armor. At the end you'll fight against continuously spawning enemies; you can use this area to work on unfinished weapon challenges and to up your kill bonus.

  • Find something worth punching!

    (14)

This achievement name is a (not so) subtle jab at the Rocky movies and can be done in one of two places. In Interval 3 you'll find yourself going through a meat locker. Repeatedly melee one of the cow carcasses until this achievement pops. In Interval 8 you'll walk into a gym area with a boxing ring. Immediately to your left when entering the room is a punching bag, repeatedly melee it until the achievement pops.

  • Attain a total of 50,000 score on Interval 08

    (2)

For each Interval/Score achievement you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this achievement. This Interval is by far the easiest to earn the required points on and there's not much to it. Be sure to grab the Alma Doll and the one Psychic Link in the level. When you enter the Gym, repeated melee the punching bag to earn the "Yo, Adrian!" achievement if you haven't already. Now continue on until you reach the Creep. The Creep's weakpoint is the glowing spot in his mouth. Every time you damage the creep you earn points and even more points if you can damage him without him hurting you. Be sure to kill his Ghost Soldiers with cover, slow motion and headshots. If you neglect damaging the Creep, he'll continuously spawn Ghost Soldiers in for you to work on other challenges (though you'll miss out on the Creep Damage challenges).
