Original Diablo III Achievement Guide
Introduction
Welcome to Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for the Xbox 360! The Diablo series is well known as the quintessential ARPG dungeon crawler providing hours of hack 'n' slash goodness. The completion time really depends on whether or not you have an imported save and multiple high level characters. It is not required, but you can play online co-op in Normal and Hardcore mode with up to 3 other players. So group up with some friends, or people in the Boosting Session thread.
The gameplay itself has not changed obviously, but since you can take characters to level 70 now, new skills and abilities have been added for you to destroy Hells' minions with. The game has been updated in many ways as well from the Diablo III version. The menu's especially have been overhauled graphically and with the addition of the 'Paragon' menu. This allows you to use those Paragon points (if you have any) to upgrade skills and stats!
There have been new additions to gameplay modes though! There's the new Bounty system, the Nephalem Rifts, new difficulty settings, and last but not least the "Reaper of Souls" expansion!
This guide will contain some minor spoilers; mostly on some boss fights, the rest is natural progression.
Character Imports
Xbox 360: If you've played the original Diablo III and still have an old save; when you load up your new Ultimate Evil edition, your characters, gear and community chest will all transfer over to this edition. Achievements however, will have to be earned again.
Xbox One: You can actually transfer your Xbox 360 save to the Xbox One version if you so choose. Please visit the BattleNet to learn more about doing this.

Playthroughs
Let's just say you will play through the campaign a plethora of times. Thankfully in this version of the game, you do not have to complete certain difficulties for achievements; however you need to play through ascending difficulties to unlock the next, hardest difficulty. The harder the difficulty the better the gold and experience gains, and more importantly, the better the loot!
Normal Mode: Start with this mode Diablo noobs! Normal mode lets you get through the game while getting used to the gameplay and checking out different characters. Death will only result in damaged gear, which you can easily fix at any merchant or blacksmith. Whatever you do in this mode will carry over to all other characters; for example: if you raise your Artisans to level 12, if you start a new level 1 character, the Artisans will still be level 12.
Hardcore Mode: Diablo III vets know all about this mode; for the noobs though, this can be a tough mode to play. Hardcore is not for the faint of heart, it is probably best to play the game through a couple of times to get used to the gameplay and levels. What makes Hardcore so daunting is if you die in this mode, your character is gone forever. There's no reloading a previous save.. the character, and the gear on it, is gone to the wind. Whatever is in the community chest will remain for other characters.
There is a slight work around to losing your character, but it's not fool proof. If you have a backup cloud save and you die you can dashboard immediately, then delete your local save data. When you load the game back up, it should sync with the cloud and your character will still be there. It's better than starting over from scratch. **Please Note** There is debate if this actually works, and there's also mention of it screwing your entire save file. Read this THREAD and view this VIDEO and make your own, informed decision at your own risk.
Adventure Mode: Adventure mode is new to Diablo III and includes the Bounties and Nephalem Rifts. You must complete Act 5 first, which is the Reaper of Souls expansion, before you can access Adventure mode. Once you've unlocked Adventure mode with whatever character, it will be available for any new characters you create; the only separation is between Normal and Hardcore modes!
Bounties are short quests you can do in any Act you wish. Criteria is generally killing a certain target, or clearing out the enemies on the floor. Nephalem Rifts are accessed by getting 'Rift Key Fragments'. These 'Rift Keys' are earned at random for completing bounties, killing rare monsters, or opening a Horadric Cache. The Rifts themselves are like an endless dungeon where you must kill enemies to spawn a boss.
Achievements
There are 19 achievements that are story related and will unlock upon the defeat of a boss, or completion of an Act. Some of the remaining achievements are relatively simple to complete and will come naturally with little effort as you progress like repairing your equipment or combining gems. The remaining achievements are the long, grinding type like getting 6 classes to level 70 and reaching level 70 in Hardcore. There are no missable achievements in this game. You can also track most, if not all of the achievements under the "Challenges" section of the menu.
Conclusion
Diablo III: UE can be a long haul for some if they're starting from scratch. If you're importing multiple level 60 characters, then you won't have to grind very much to complete the game. That's why some people have completed this game in 25 hours or less.. and some have taken much longer. Either way, the game is enjoyable and fun to play by yourself, or with friends. Put your nose to the grind, which is what the Diablo series is known for, and attain your 1000!
